A 20 minutes assembly with notes, looking into why we have a LGBTQ+ History month, and a look at how art, movies and music have hinted at acceptance of sexuality, even when laws and society did not approve.
The assembly is based on a retro theme, looking at risk and how to minimise it.
Topics include Tik Tok challenges, driving, road safety, internet safety, alcohol and drugs - based on a retro theme around the idea of assessing and reducing risk
Includes a game of Mallet’s Mallet to start with.

(If using with Y7-9 I don’t use the driving or alcohol/drugs slides)
The lesson is designed to run over 2 hours. The first hour is based around consumer rights, part of the statutory financial education topic. The second is about ethical aspects of consumer choices.
A 15 minute assembly with script in the notes section. Can be adapated. Features ambiguous optical illusions and challenges people to change how they view situations. Fun assembly, was well received
Shows the impact of bystander behaviour as a facilitating force for bullying. Gives students the opportunity to reflect on what they might do if they find themselves witnessing bullying or poor behaviour.
